The Duplin County Public Libraries, James Sprunt Community College and local poets invite you to the Partners in Poetry event on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 6:30 pm-8:30 in the James Sprunt Community College Boyette Building Lobby. The community is also invited to register to read!
Denise Sutton is an inspirational poet, songwriter, spoken word artist, and author. She was recently named a 2024 recipient of the Craven Arts Council Artist Support Grant in the literary category and the winner of her company’s 2025 Black History Literary Art Award for her poem “What Color Am I?” She has participated in several Duplin County Library poetry readings.
