Due dates
Books are due 2 weeks from the date checked out, with the possibility to renew twice. DVDs are due 1 week from the check-out date. If the library is not open, you may return items to a drop box in the Boyette Building lobby or in the parking lot behind the building. In addition to the due date stamped on the item, you will receive 3 overdue notices at your student e-mail address (or the address you provided on your application, if you don’t have a student account), so make sure to check your e-mail.
Responsibility for fines
You are responsible for all items checked out with your library card. If you lend a checked-out item to a friend or family member and it is returned late or damaged, the appropriate fines will be charged to your account.
Overdue fines
Once the due date has passed, students will be charged fines at a rate of $0.10 per item per day until materials are returned (maximum fine: $10.00 per item).
Damaged or lost items
You will be charged the current replacement cost for damaged or lost items.
Academic holds
A hold will be placed on your academic record if: (1) you have not returned an item by the third overdue notice; (2) you have not returned an interlibrary loan item at the end of a semester; or, (3) you owe more than $5 in fines. A hold will prevent you from registering for classes, receiving your grades, requesting transcripts, and graduating. Please return items on time and in good condition.
Printing & copying costs
Printing from library computers costs $0.10 per single-sided page and $0.15 per double-sided page. Self-service copies are $0.15 per page. 3D printing costs are $3.00 for anything up to the first hour, and $1.00 for each additional hour.
